Read a little anecdotal story about it, here in our blog.Innovative top notes of Aldehydes work alongside Petitgrain and move to a heart of Jasmine, Lilac, Lily of the Valley, Rose, Violet and Ylang with a base of Musk, Peru Balsam and Tonka notes.There's an urban myth that suggests Chanel 5 popularity is largely down to last minute gift shopping by husbands, boyfriends and sons... desperately scouring the shelves and spotting the fragrance that they've ALL heard about... that's not true, honestly, it's because it's just such a timeless fragrance!Great for use in Candles & Melts, but if you're planning to use 5 in soaps, skincare etc, please see below...5 contains very small amounts of the raw material Lilial which has been limited by the EU Classification, Labelling and Packaging Regulations (1272/2008) - these changes allow for the use of Lilial in non-cosmetic products such as candles, melts, diffusers etc as long as it is contained within those products at < (less than) 0.3%. 5 contains Lilial at < 1% which equates to a level of < 0.1% in product format assuming it is dosed at 10% into a non-cosmetic product making 5 permissible for use as it is less than the 0.3% limit.
